Baptism is a clear command of the Lord Jesus Christ for all believers (Matt. 28:18-20). Believer baptism in water reflects a prior inward cleansing (1 Pet. 3:21) when the person was born again (Jn. 3:3, 5), made a new creation in Christ (2 Cor. 5:17), and offers an opportunity to profess faith in the Lord Jesus Christ publicly.
As a united body in Christ, we celebrate alongside our brothers and sisters through attendance, encouragement, and response:
• We rejoice and give thanks to God for His gift of new life, having been saved by grace alone, through faith alone in Christ alone.
•We hear and are edified by the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ, and we ponder our own step of obedience to the Lord Jesus Christ in the waters of baptism and in all of life.
•We pray for those who do not know and have not received Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, that they may hear and see the gospel and believe and receive.
• We proclaim to all the victory of Jesus Christ.
